RHEL Engineering is moving the tracking of its product development work on RHEL 6 through RHEL 9 to Red Hat Jira (issues.redhat.com). If you're a Red Hat customer, please continue to file support cases via the Red Hat customer portal. If you're not, please head to the "RHEL project" in Red Hat Jira and file new tickets here. Individual Bugzilla bugs in the statuses "NEW", "ASSIGNED", and "POST" are being migrated throughout September 2023. Bugs of Red Hat partners with an assigned Engineering Partner Manager (EPM) are migrated in late September as per pre-agreed dates. Bugs against components "kernel", "kernel-rt", and "kpatch" are only migrated if still in "NEW" or "ASSIGNED". If you cannot log in to RH Jira, please consult article #7032570. That failing, please send an e-mail to the RH Jira admins at rh-issues@redhat.com to troubleshoot your issue as a user management inquiry. The email creates a ServiceNow ticket with Red Hat. Individual Bugzilla bugs that are migrated will be moved to status "CLOSED", resolution "MIGRATED", and set with "MigratedToJIRA" in "Keywords". The link to the successor Jira issue will be found under "Links", have a little "two-footprint" icon next to it, and direct you to the "RHEL project" in Red Hat Jira (issue links are of type "https://issues.redhat.com/browse/RHEL-XXXX", where "X" is a digit). This same link will be available in a blue banner at the top of the page informing you that that bug has been migrated.

can you attach debug logs? regression - which version of mentioned components is working correctly? Is it gnome-boxes specific (Can you reproduce using virt-manager, virt-viewer...)? Are you sure that is not a guess issue?

Comment 3 Victor Toso 2017-05-24 20:23:26 UTC
I'm not being able to reproduce the issue with virt-manager, versions:

$ rpm -q virt-manager spice-gtk3
virt-manager-1.4.1-5.el7.noarch
spice-gtk3-0.33-4.el7.x86_64

Test:
1) I'm booting the image from #comment 0 as live image (CD-ROM)
2) press enter to boot
3) press enter several times
4) sudo reboot -f, goto 1

Did it for awhile, no issues.

To my knowledge, virt-manager is working fine. Tried virt-viewer as well a few times, no issues.

I would also add
- Q4: Is this OS supported?

Moving back to gnome-boxes as this is not reproducible with virt-viewer and virt-manager, we need some info on why this is spice bug... please clarify.

Comment 4 Vladimir Benes 2017-05-25 10:54:47 UTC
This has nothing to do with OS, and unsupported OS, what's that?

I have more observations:
once I have more live CDs started, as soon as one goes to sleep the display is disconnected.

I was in Core-5 4 and suddenly the widget disappeared with a message in console:
Boxes-Message: machine.vala:209: display Core-5 6 disconnected

Is this reproducible with virt-manager?
