Description of problem: There are gfid hardlinks for file exists in the RHGS 3.1.3 replicated volume bricks. The file doesn't exist in the brick directory but hardlink exists in the .glusterfs directory. The link count to the hardlink is 1. Version-Release number of selected component (if applicable): RHGS 3.1.3 How reproducible: Reproducible in customer environment. Actual results: stale gfid links exists in the .glusterfs directory and consume space. This causes a mismatch between the size of .glusterfs directory between the replica bricks Expected results: gfid link should be deleted if the file corresponding to it doesn't exist. Additional info: Will be added in the next comments.
Would be great to mark this as a KBase article and close this? Also note that this could happen in a situation with 'replica 2' and 3.1.x version... with higher versions of RHGS, and 'replica 3' we have not seen these issues! Marked as WORKSFORME on glusterfs-3.12.2-18 + (ie, RHGS-3.4.0 and above).
