Description of problem: I have to run the kernel client tests on 7.2 for zStream kernel Updates/Sanity runs or for the reasons where ceph will be upgraded first then OS later. I have configured a 2.3 Job on 7.2 but it fails as unsupported, TASK [ceph.ceph-common : fail on unsupported distribution for red hat ceph storage] *** task path: /home/cephuser/ceph-ansible/roles/ceph-common/tasks/checks/check_system.yml:17 fatal: [ceph-jenkins-build-run966-node1-mon]: FAILED! => {"changed": false, "failed": true, "msg": "Distribution not supported 7.2 by Red Hat Ceph Storage, only RHEL 7"} https://ceph-jenkins.rhev-ci-vms.eng.rdu2.redhat.com/view/smoke-cluster-10-node/job/kernel-client-rhel72/10/console
We only support 7.3. Everything < 7.3 is not. Please update your OS, I'll send a patch to clarify this.

backport: https://github.com/ceph/ceph-ansible/pull/1553
well i was looking for a run on 7.2 for kernel tests, but that is fine as long as folks dont use custom deployments to upgrade, I am going to push back on any backported zstream for 2.3 on older kernels. But now I feel its important we have the ability to install older versions from cdn for 2.x(2.2 etc) for regression runs related to patches. The error message is better than original so can take this.
Thanks to the last comments, it seems that the patch proposed is acceptable, so merging the backport. Should we close this too?
I agree Thomas, this appears to be backported so let's just wait for another issue of more substance to get a tag.
discussed at program meeting, moving to ON_QA today
Verified in 10.2.7-25 https://ceph-jenkins.rhev-ci-vms.eng.rdu2.redhat.com/view/smoke-cluster-10-node/job/kernel-client-rhel72/20/console
