Description of problem: While Mumble is opened, Amarok and VLC mute themselves automatically. If Mumble is not running and one of these applications is playing audio, just opening Mumble will cause these players to mute right away and stay muted until I either unmute them or exit Mumble. Version-Release number of selected component (if applicable): 1.2.18 How reproducible: All the time. Steps to Reproduce: 1. Play audio in VLC or Amarok 2. Open Mumble Actual results: VLC and Amarok will mute themselves automatically Expected results: For nothing to automatically mute itself indefinitely Additional info: It took me a while to realize what was happening and rdieter suggested a quick workaround would be 1. edit /etc/pulse/default.pa 2. comment out load-module module-role-cork 3. pulseaudio -k 4. report the bug So far the workaround is perfect and possibly even preferred because without any indication of why the auto-muting was happening, experiencing it feels like a major problem.
