Solving this bugzilla fixes other CVEs: CVE-2017-11624 CVE-2017-11625 CVE-2017-11626 CVE-2017-11627 Bodhi update will be referencing all CVEs.
Upstream patch includes tests for these issues, but I will not backport it, because they need malformed pdf files for testing, which I can only add as Source in spec file. IMHO it is unnecessary for low priority CVE and upstream says there will be new qpdf version (where patches are included) by end of summer.
