I tried out the Blivet-GUI today in Anaconda, and spent an embarrassing amount of time clicking and right-clicking on stuff trying to figure out how to get any action or reaction. It took me a while to realize that the buttons to do stuff are actually buttons. Generally, the buttons in Anaconda (compare in "Manual Partitioning" have a raised, 3D look. The ribbon bar in Blivit-GUI is flat until the mouse hovers over them. At minimum, it would be nice to change this to match. Additionally, it might be nice to have word-buttons, or graphics with text (like in the hubs screen) just to make it really clear. The icons take up only about 25% of the available horizontal space, so there seems to be plenty of room to change that. PS: Not sure if anaconda or blivet-gui is the right component for this. The same could really apply to stand-alone blivet-gui itself, but it seems less essential there (possibly because the context is different)
Thank you for the feedback, I've changed the buttons to look more like the other Anaconda "button bars". Screenshot: https://vtrefny.fedorapeople.org/blivet-gui/bg-toolbar.png PR: https://github.com/rhinstaller/blivet-gui/pull/69
Awesome — thanks! I would love to see some UX testing with word labels too (because hey, there's room for it) but that's perfectly fine for F26 and not urgent.
