A recent version of atomic CLI adds rpmbuild dependencies [1] to support a new feature. It was decided to back that change out [2] and do it a different way. We have ripped out the rpm-requires [3] for now. Proposed as a Freeze Exception for 26-beta by Fedora user dustymabe using the blocker tracking app because: atomic CLI is not a component of a release blocking deliverable. Please allow it in once it has enough karma so we can get it into Atomic Host.
Discussed at 2017-05-30 blocker review meeting: [1]. This bug was accepted as a freeze exception: Since this affects only one package that doesn't impact any deliverables, we're comfortable pulling in this change. [1] https://meetbot-raw.fedoraproject.org/fedora-blocker-review/2017-05-30/
Dan is there any other build for atomic going in? I think it is better we push this PR: https://github.com/projectatomic/atomic/pull/1005 that drops the dependency from rpmbuild as we don't want to have it on Atomic Host.
hey Giuseepe. I've asked to have this BZ attached to https://bodhi.fedoraproject.org/updates/FEDORA-2017-ac1919a04b. If you attach it to that update this should take care of things.
Dusty, FYI the PR just got merged.
Hey Giuseppe, We don't actually need the work from that PR. We just need this BZ to be attached to https://bodhi.fedoraproject.org/updates/FEDORA-2017-ac1919a04b. This is because we removed the build dep in http://pkgs.fedoraproject.org/cgit/rpms/atomic.git/commit/?h=f26&id=8c4a38a7f187c45926bdf60ae937f7a6090cbeae. Please just attach this bug to that update so it can get pushed to stable.
