Version-Release number of selected component (if applicable): rhv:4.1.3-0.1.el7 How reproducible: 100% Steps to Reproduce: For debian guest 1.Convert the debian8-x64 guest to rhv4.1 by virt-v2v,but the os info shows debian7, pls refer to screenshot "debian8-x64" 2.Convert the debian7-x64 guest to rhv4.1 by virt-v2v,but the os info have no architecture pls refer to screenshot "debian7-x64" 3.Convert the debian6-x64 guest to rhv4.1 by virt-v2v,but the os info shows linux, pls refer to screenshot "debian6-x64" For ubuntu guest 1.Convert ubuntu16.04 x64 guest to rhv4.1 by virt-v2v,but the os info shows "Ubuntu Trusty Tahr LTS", pls refer to screenshot "ubuntu16.04-x64" 2.Convert ubuntu14.04 x64 guest to rhv4.1 by virt-v2v,but the os info also shows "Ubuntu Trusty Tahr LTS", pls refer to screenshot "ubuntu14.04-x64" Actual results: Due to virt-v2v has supported convert debian6/7/8 and ubuntu14.04/16.04 guest now, but osinfo (https://github.com/oVirt/ovirt-engine/blob/ovirt-engine-4.1/packaging/conf/osinfo-defaults.properties ) of rhv4.1 just contains debian7 and ubuntu12.04~ubuntu14.04 version info ,so debian and ubuntu guests can't show correct OS info after converting to rhv by virt-v2v Expected results: 1.the os info of debian8 x64 guest should be Debian 8 x64 at rhv 2.the os info of debian7 x64 guest should have architecture x64 at rhv 3.the os info of debian6 x64 guest should be Debian 6 x64 at rhvm 4.the os info of ubuntu16.04 x64 guest should be ubuntu16.04 x64 at rhv 5.the os info of ubuntu14.04 x64 guest should be ubuntu14.04 x64 at rhv Additional info:

A change to virt-v2v will be required as well: https://github.com/libguestfs/libguestfs/blob/master/v2v/create_ovf.ml#L104-L123
Or, even better, make use of libosinfo/osinfo-db, so there are many more guests supported, and it's way easier to add new ones: bug 1432488.
