Any particular reason this hasn't been updated, other than lack of time?
I have an update prepared, but there is quite a lot of packages depending on gnuplot, and the update should probably be coordinated with them, which I haven't had time to do. An easier alternative could be of course to just update it, because in practice the likelihood of breaking something is not very high.

Hi, I use fedora 31. Why is gnuplot still at version 5?
Looks like gnuplot could use some more maintainers. If you can help, please ask to be added to the package. I've rebased Pavel's 5.2.4 update and bumped it to 5.2.8, but this is just a drive by update.
