Start Fedora 25 with kernel 4.11.3 2. On a l2tp VPN from NetworkManager: OK, VPN start. 3. resolve a remote name via "host someost.remote re.mo.te.dnsip: OK, I get the host IP 4. ping some remote IP: OK, I can ping remote IP 5. ssh to remote host: NOT OK, i cannot connect to remote host Actual results: Not Work TCP Access, UDP and ICMP access work. Expected results: TCP access work like other old kernel. Additional info: Yesterday I have update my fedora 25 and after reboot VPN l2tp+ipsec do not work anymore. The connection happens without problem, the routing are set correctly, the DNS (UDP protocol) and ping (ICMP protocol) to remote host work. Only the access to some server, like ssh or smb:// (TCP protocol) do not work, in this case, if I monitoring on remote server with tcpdump, none arrives. If I reboot with previous kernel (4.10.17) all work fine. Some suggest? https://lists.fedoraproject.org/archives/list/users@lists.fedoraproject.org/thread/2VBRANTXRXH54C5H5S2IZFDYQUFUFQDB/ Thanks
Yes, this was reported on the bodhi update for 4.11.3 with a pointer to what should be a fix. I started an incremental build https://koji.fedoraproject.org/koji/taskinfo?taskID=19812485 which you can test when it finishes.

Okay I think I found what should be an actual fix for 4.11, https://koji.fedoraproject.org/koji/taskinfo?taskID=19871705 should be building with an actual fix.

This build appears to have fixed the issue for me (though I am not the original reporter). Thanks Laura.

I seem to be having this issue again with kernel 4.11.6-201.fc25.x86_64. Does anyone know if the patch is included in 4.11.6-201.fc25.x86_64?
Hmm, from strongswan irc: <evilman_work> rocketraman: don't use the 4.11 while - it's buggy in the nat caused by migration on rhashtable. <rocketraman> evilman_work: so there is more than one issue with 4.11? <evilman_work> rocketraman: yep.
I have try today the l2tp+ipsec vpn and work fine. I can access remote server without problem. I have this kernel: [lesca@dodo ~]$ uname -a Linux dodo.home.solinos.it 4.11.6-201.fc25.x86_64 #1 SMP Tue Jun 20 20:21:11 UTC 2017 x86_64 x86_64 x86_64 GNU/Linux hope this help Dario
This message is a reminder that Fedora 25 is nearing its end of life. Approximately 4 (four) weeks from now Fedora will stop maintaining and issuing updates for Fedora 25. It is Fedora's policy to close all bug reports from releases that are no longer maintained. At that time this bug will be closed as EOL if it remains open with a Fedora 'version' of '25'. Package Maintainer: If you wish for this bug to remain open because you plan to fix it in a currently maintained version, simply change the 'version' to a later Fedora version. Thank you for reporting this issue and we are sorry that we were not able to fix it before Fedora 25 is end of life. If you would still like to see this bug fixed and are able to reproduce it against a later version of Fedora, you are encouraged change the 'version' to a later Fedora version prior this bug is closed as described in the policy above. Although we aim to fix as many bugs as possible during every release's lifetime, sometimes those efforts are overtaken by events. Often a more recent Fedora release includes newer upstream software that fixes bugs or makes them obsolete.
Fedora 25 changed to end-of-life (EOL) status on 2017-12-12. Fedora 25 is no longer maintained, which means that it will not receive any further security or bug fix updates. As a result we are closing this bug. If you can reproduce this bug against a currently maintained version of Fedora please feel free to reopen this bug against that version. If you are unable to reopen this bug, please file a new report against the current release. If you experience problems, please add a comment to this bug. Thank you for reporting this bug and we are sorry it could not be fixed.
