Description of problem: When I unload module-x11-bell, and ring the bell, nothing happens, even if the pcspkr kernel module is loaded. Version-Release number of selected component (if applicable): pulseaudio-module-x11-10.0-2.fc25.i686 How reproducible: always Steps to Reproduce: 1. sudo modprobe pcspkr 2. echo -e '\007\c' 3. /usr/bin/pactl upload-sample /usr/share/sounds/freedesktop/stereo/bell.oga 4. /usr/bin/pactl load-module module-x11-bell "display=$DISPLAY" "sample=bell" 5. echo -e '\007\c' 6. /usr/bin/pactl unload-module module-x11-bell 7. echo -e '\007\c' Actual results: System bell in step 2 bell.oga played in step 5 No bell after in step 7 Expected results: As above, but system bell in step 7
