Description Michael Burman 2017-06-11 14:34:17 UTC
Description of problem:
This bug is to track testing and bugs that block this support for OSPD 11.

As part of this testing we cover director and neutron role for rhv nodes.

Version-Release number of selected component (if applicable):
4.1.2.3-0.1.el7
4.1.3.2-0.1.el7

vdsm-4.19.15-1.el7ev
vdsm-4.19.18-1.el7ev
vdsm-hook-openstacknet-4.19.15-1.el7ev.noarch
vdsm-hook-openstacknet-4.19.18-1.el7ev.noarch

Red Hat OpenStack Platform release 11.0 (Ocata)
openstack-neutron-10.0.1-3.el7ost.noarch

Comment 1 Michael Burman 2017-06-11 14:44:47 UTC
Testing flow:

* Use director to configure 'networker' roles for rhv nodes
* Add neutron provider to rhv (Controller)
* Install vdsm and vdsm-hook-openstacknet on rhv nodes
* Run 'iptables -D INPUT -j REJECT --reject-with icmp-host-prohibited' on rhv nodes
- Add rhv nodes to rhv 4.1.2/4.1.3
- Import networks from neutron provider or create networks on the neutron provider from rhv(when 'read-only' property isn't set on edit provider)
- Use neutron networks for VMs
- Run network/neutron sanity testing

Comment 2 Michael Burman 2017-06-11 15:10:06 UTC
Verified and tested with:

4.1.2.3-0.1.el7
4.1.3.2-0.1.el7

vdsm-4.19.15-1.el7ev
vdsm-4.19.18-1.el7ev
vdsm-hook-openstacknet-4.19.15-1.el7ev.noarch
vdsm-hook-openstacknet-4.19.18-1.el7ev.noarch

Red Hat OpenStack Platform release 11.0 (Ocata)
openstack-neutron-10.0.1-3.el7ost.noarch

Tested:

* Add neutron provider to rhv 4.1.2/4.1.3 - PASS
* Add 2 rhv nodes that were configured with neutron roles using director - PASS
* Create neutron network on the provider via rhv - PASS
* Import neutron network from provider to rhv - PASS
* Run VMs on both rhv nodes with neutron networks - PASS
* Migrate VMs between the rhv nodes - PASS
* Get IPs from neutron-dhcp-agent - PASS
* Test connectivity between VMs on the same rhv node and different nodes
* Hotplug/unplug

Comment 3 Dan Kenigsberg 2017-06-19 05:36:14 UTC
Thanks Michael (and the rest of team) for verifying this.

I'm closing the bug manually since 4.2ga would have undergo a repeated certification closer to its release date with a recent OSP of that time. This bug tracks rhv-4.1.2/4.1.3 already, so there is no much point in cloning it into there.
