RHEL Engineering is moving the tracking of its product development work on RHEL 6 through RHEL 9 to Red Hat Jira (issues.redhat.com). Individual Bugzilla bugs in the statuses "NEW", "ASSIGNED", and "POST" are being migrated throughout September 2023. Bugs of Red Hat partners with an assigned Engineering Partner Manager (EPM) are migrated in late September as per pre-agreed dates. The link to the successor Jira issue will be found under "Links", have a little "two-footprint" icon next to it, and direct you to the "RHEL project" in Red Hat Jira (issue links are of type "https://issues.redhat.com/browse/RHEL-XXXX", where "X" is a digit). This same link will be available in a blue banner at the top of the page informing you that that bug has been migrated.

In bug 1386114 we've improved the workflow of managing remote and guest nodes including a variety of check to prevent duplicities. In following case the check fails to detect a potential duplicity:

[root@host-031 ~]# pcs cluster node add-remote host-032 MyNode1

The "pcs resource meta" command should be checked if the same bug occurs there as well.

Also pcs should emit a warning these commands are not meant for managing remote and guest nodes (as merely updating the cib does not check if the node is available, distribute pcmk authkey and so on).

@Tomas: The "pcs resource meta" checks for guest nodes are working fine as per bug 1386114 test results.

This is tracked for RHEL 8: bz1673834.
Considering the current RHEL 7 life cycle stage, there will be no fix for RHEL 7.
