For active-active disaster recovery, we can consider providing a block storage replication capability where LVM mirroring is being used.

This could be done by allowing to add an additional connection(s) and device(s) to block based storage domain. 
Using LVM mirroring, all the logical volumes of the domain will have mirror LVs and all the data written in the domain's LVs will be replicated across all the mirror LVs.
