Description of problem:
Trying to reinstall FC3 atop FC3.  Problem happens either in graphic
mode or in line mode.  Complains of attribute error.

How reproducible:
Always

Steps to Reproduce:
1.boot FC3 cd1
2. choose to reinstall/upgrade previous installation
3. system stops while examining the system
    

Actual Results:  invites me to take dump and file this report

Expected Results:  installation proceeds
