Description Matthew Plant 2017-07-13 18:07:42 EDT
Description of problem:
Animations have been disabled on Gnome after upgrading to 26 from 25.
On 25 I installed a proprietary graphics driver to make Gnome usable at any resolution with my Titan X (pascal). Before that Gnome was too slow an unusable.
Each time I have upgraded Gnome with this kind of configuration, animations have been disabled upon package upgrade.

The graphics drivers are still working properly. running the program:

glxinfo | grep "direct rendering"

proves that direct rendering is enabled.

Version-Release number of selected component (if applicable):

25 -> 26

How reproducible:

It has happened to me twice so far

Steps to Reproduce:
1. install fedora on a system with titan x pascal
2. install nvidia drivers
2. upgrade gnome

Actual results:
animations are disabled

Expected results:
animations are enabled

Additional info:
I have checked in tweak and the gnome setting for animations is enabled.
