Additional info: This bug mostly affects images, which are installed into both /usr/lib/eclipse/droplets/pydev-core/eclipse/plugins/org.python.pydev.shared_ui_5.8.0.v20170616-0956/icons/ and /usr/lib/eclipse/droplets/pydev-core/eclipse/plugins/org.python.pydev_5.8.0.v20170616-0956/icons/

It's really an upstream decision, not a packaging problem, that multiple Pydev bundles contain icons with the same name. I would not be comfortable deduplicating these icons them without first inspecting each one to make sure they are actually the same image, instead of different images that co-incidentally share a file name.
