Description Ben Rosser 2017-08-01 21:25:59 UTC
Spec URL: https://tc01.fedorapeople.org/ocaml/opam/ocaml-opam-file-format.spec
SRPM URL: https://tc01.fedorapeople.org/ocaml/opam/ocaml-opam-file-format-2.0.0-0.1.beta3.fc26.src.rpm
Description: Parser and printer for the opam file syntax
Fedora Account System Username: tc01

This is one of a handful of dependencies for opam, the OCaml package manager.

Comment 1 Ben Rosser 2017-08-15 17:06:00 UTC
Modernized the package with the comments from the cmdliner review:

- Modernize ocaml packaging, use macro for testing native compiler.
- Remove manual invocation of ocaml dependency generator.
- Add -g to ocamlc, ocamlopt invocations, but this still doesn't make debuginfo.
- Use global instead of define for libname macro.

Spec URL: https://tc01.fedorapeople.org/ocaml/opam/ocaml-opam-file-format.spec
SRPM URL: https://tc01.fedorapeople.org/ocaml/opam/ocaml-opam-file-format-2.0.0-0.2.beta3.fc26.src.rpm

Unfortunately despite passing -g to ocamlc and ocamlopt, debuginfo doesn't get generated here, either. (The opam-file-format build is a lot simpler, it just invokes ocamlc and ocamlopt by hand). I'm not sure why.

I did confirm that the .o files have debuginfo.

Comment 2 Robert-André Mauchin 🐧 2017-08-25 15:44:21 UTC
Hello,

 - Replace make %{?_smp_mflags} with %make_build:

%make_build byte
%ifarch %{ocaml_native_compiler}
%make_build native
%endif

 - Same: make install DESTDIR=%{buildroot} ⇒ %make_install:

%make_install LIBDIR=%{_libdir}/ocaml

I accept this package nevertheless, but pleas emake use of predefined macros.
