I think gdeploy is being deprecated in favor of Gluster-Ansible, but I'm not sure what the support of geo-rep is there.
In any case, what's the latest status here?

We have an approved bug BZ 1475724 at RHGS-3.5.0 to add the required support. This has also been verified by QE. Please go ahead and complete the required documentation for this support.
