Description Germano Veit Michel 2017-08-07 01:16:09 UTC
Description of problem:

In Bugzilla #1428419 we vdsm dependency switched from ntpd to chrony, as chrony is now the recommended option.

As per Bugzilla #1476650, both ntpd and chrony will be included in RHV-H, but the preferred option is chrony.

However, the documentation[1] does not mention any preference regrading what client to use (ntpd or chrony). The RHV documentation only talks about the need for time sync via NTP, which can be implemented by ntpd or chrony as both are NTP clients.

In EL7 we recommend chrony[2], so I believe the same recommendation should be made on RHV Docs [1] as well.
