Description Phillip Hagerman 2017-08-09 21:08:34 UTC
Description of problem:

I have a very large important customer who cannot access release notes for JBoss EAP 6.4 because they are not documentation links or discrete articles like the rest of the release notes. My customer has restricted product download access from their portal users, and since all the latest release notes for EAP 6.4 are not created as actual documentation they are unable to view them.

I tried to locate the release notes for those versions via other means and they appear to be missing entirely. They are not documented separate from the download information.

How reproducible: Easily

Steps to Reproduce:
Log into the support portal and navigate to
https://access.redhat.com/documentation/en/red-hat-jboss-enterprise-application-platform/

Verify link targets.

Actual results:
7.0 Update 07 (Article link)
7.0 Update 06 (Article link)
7.0 Update 05 (Article link)
7.0 Update 04 (Article link)
7.0 Update 03 (Article link)
7.0 Update 02 (Article link)
7.0 Update 01 (Article link)
7.0.0 Release Notes (Documentation Link)

6.2.4 Release Notes (Documentation Link)

6.1.0 Release Notes (Documentation Link)
6.1.1 Release Notes (Documentation Link)

Release Notes 6.0.1 (Documentation Link)

Expected results:
Release Notes are a form of documentation so all links should either be to documentation or articles

Additional info:
For my specific customer since their user accounts are restricted from downloading product software, not only can they not view the release notes as described above, but the error page they get states they need an active subscription. This is also the wrong error to present to them, they have an active subscription, but they are simply limited from downloading products directly from the Red Hat portal.
