In TripleO we use monitor_address_block and we would like to have the same functionality for MDS and RGW.
Note - we're fixing this in 3.0, but you probably need this back ported to support OSP-12, right Giulio?
hi Ian, yes we need this for OSP12, fwiw we're using ceph-ansible-3 builds to deploy ceph-2. I am also trying to figure out with Angus what is the best way to track BZs for ceph and ceph-ansible which are "blockers" for the OSP release; this is probably one of those BZs but there are others.
address_block works for ceph.conf but we need to get the binding ip into the docker container
mds doesn't need that, it'll bind to an IP from the public cluster network (lookup from the ceph.conf). Rgw support is in: https://github.com/ceph/ceph-ansible/pull/1839
leseb would you please tag and announce a new version upstream so we can rebase to that version downstream?
done: https://github.com/ceph/ceph-ansible/releases/tag/v3.0.0rc5
https://github.com/ceph/ceph-ansible/pull/1845 is not tagged. Do we need it before this bug is resolved?
