After upgrading dnf from 2.6.3-1.fc27 to 2.6.3-2.fc28, "dnf builddep" subcommand does not work: # rpm -q dnf dnf-2.6.3-2.fc28.noarch # dnf --allowerasing builddep ~test/fedora/perl-Proc-InvokeEditor/perl-Proc-InvokeEditor.spec No such command: builddep. Please use /usr/bin/dnf --help It could be a DNF plugin command, try: "dnf install 'dnf-command(builddep)'" # dnf install 'dnf-command(builddep)' Last metadata expiration check: 0:39:34 ago on Mon 21 Aug 2017 09:38:32 AM CEST. Package dnf-plugins-core-2.1.3-2.fc27.noarch is already installed, skipping. Dependencies resolved. Nothing to do. Complete!
An enhancement release suitable for Fedora ≥ 27.
I wrote into a wrong bug report.
I belive this is a manifestation of a larger issue with dnf plugins. See BZ#1483342.
