oVirt gerrit 80022 0 None MERGED webadmin: introduce download image support 2021-01-28 20:27:03 UTC

Description Daniel Erez 2017-08-22 14:48:23 UTC
Description of problem:
Support download of disks from the WebAdmin using the browser.
I.e. add 'Download' list button to 'Disks' tab:
* 'Start' - invokes a download of the selected disk; download handling is fully managed by the browser.
* 'Cancel' - unlocks (teardown) the disk upon download completion.

Note: download monitoring and automatic teardown will be handled in a separate RFE.

What does automatic teardown means?

Upon download image completion, we need to deactivate the image (lv) - this action is called teardown. Since we currently don't monitor the download (should be covered by bug 1484060), the teardown must be invoked manually by the user (i.e. click 'Download -> Cancel' button after download is finished). After monitoring is implemented, we could do it automatically, so it would be transparent for the user.
