Description Pino Toscano 2017-08-24 09:31:50 EDT
Description of problem:

supermin upstream maintains a very stable interface, while introducing improvements, and fixing issues.

The current version in RHEL is growing the patch count (so far 8), and for various fixes we will need to backport at least 12 patches. So far there are 50 upstream commits (including "release version X.Y.Z" ones), so we would end up with half of the commits in the upstream version, making further backports more complicated. The rest of the upstream commits mostly deals with new versions of toolchain/system/kernel, with other distros, and a couple of small non-intrusive features.
