Individual Bugzilla bugs in the statuses "NEW", "ASSIGNED", and "POST" are being migrated throughout September 2023. This same link will be available in a blue banner at the top of the page informing you that that bug has been migrated.

Description of problem:

Remote Viewer hangs forever when USB 2.0 ISO device (simple example is camera) redirected and available bandwidth is limited.

2.0.13

How reproducible:

100% under specific conditions

Steps to Reproduce:
1. Use client machine with Wi-Fi connection in LAN environment
2. Redirect high speed camera to VM using remote viewer. Activate the camera using some application
3. Remote viewer hangs and does not update the screen anymore
4. If RDP is enabled on VM it is possible to connect using Remote Desktop and try to stop the camera - this does not unblock the remote viewer.

Actual results:

virt-viewer does not function, should be killed

Additional info:
It looks like the problem is in libusb DLL that has kind of busy loop.

This bug has not been marked as blocker for oVirt 4.3.0.
Since we are releasing it tomorrow, January 29th, this bug has been re-targeted to 4.3.1.

After evaluating this issue, there are no plans to address it further or fix it in an upcoming release.  Therefore, it is being closed.  If plans change such that this issue will be fixed in an upcoming release, then the bug can be reopened.
