Description of problem: Every time evince is ran, it outputs this: (evince:8463): Gtk-WARNING **: Allocating size to EvSidebar 0x56381dbc8870 without calling gtk_widget_get_preferred_width/height(). How does the code know the size to allocate? Version-Release number of selected component (if applicable): evince-3.24.0-3.fc26.x86_64 How reproducible: Synchronous, does not appear to depend on a specific document Steps to Reproduce: 1. evince document.pdf 2. 3. Actual results: Cluttered terminal Expected results: No verbose warning messages Additional info: The evince loves to map so it's larger than the screen. I have to double-click on the title twice to get it fit. Not sure if this is related.
you get this warning out of a million gtk widgets (libreoffice too), its quite annoying but its unclear how to silence it
