Bump. Julia currently bundles MPFR as it needs version 4.
(In reply to Milan Bouchet-Valat from comment #8) > Bump. Julia currently bundles MPFR as it needs version 4. I looked at updating mpfr to 4 but unfortunately it is not that easy, because it is both source and binary incompatible with mpfr 3 and at the same time it is quite a fundamental component. Since you say there is now software which needs MPFR 4, I will give it more priority.
Thanks! I wish we used the same naming convention as Debian, with mpfr3 and mpfr4 being able to cohabit until no packages depend on the old release.

Please see fedora-devel-list, where I have outlined a strategy that lets us move entirely to MPFR 4, between releases of course, so no need for 3 and 4 to coexist. Pavel, we would like you to join the conversation on fedora-devel-list. If you are unable to do so, please respond here to let us know that you are aware of the situation. Thank you.
MPFR 4 has been built in Rawhide, and all packages that depend on it have been rebuilt.
