Associating the pulp redmine. We need this fix in 6.3 as well.

Comment 10 jcallaha 2017-10-19 19:21:01 UTC
Failed QA in Satellite 6.3.

Followed the steps used to verify the original bug, and saw that no packages were listed during the incremental update. The UI will show an increased errata count, but searching for the package in the published version shows no update.

Additionally, I checked into the pulp_rpm merge request #40 and saw that those changes were not in the current version

Requesting needsinfo from upstream developer bizhang because the 'FailedQA' flag is set.

Comment 14 Patrick Creech 2017-10-19 19:51:22 UTC
Looking it over, it appears the cherrypick didn't make it into satellite-6.3.0. I've created a MR to pull in the commit associated with the issue

If i understand the issue correctly, it was fixed in pulp-2.14.1, so it was moved to ON_QA too early, as the latest SNAP contains pulp-2.13.4 which is still affected.

Followed the steps in https://access.redhat.com/articles/1526413 , inc update command didn't show any new packages:
hammer -v content-view version incremental-update --errata-ids="EXA:2015-0002" --content-view-version-id="21"
Content View: xLwGUnAaJX version 1.1
Added Content:
  Errata:

Same for UI - 1 new errata is shown, however packages count didn't increase, new package is not present

It was fixed in 2.14.1, but I cherry-picked the fix for pulp-2.13.4, which is in satellite 6.3.0 since this issue was flagged sat-6.3.0+ (slated for inclusion in 6.3.0). I've also verified that it did appear to land in the 2.13.4.2 version of pulp-rpm.

Comment 25 Renzo Nuccitelli 2017-11-02 13:21:17 UTC
Test performed on satellite 6.3 snap 22 following steps described on comments #20 and 21:

pulp-admin rpm repo content errata --repo-id=foo3

Description: Bear_Erratum
Id: RHEA-2012:0057
Severity:
Summary:
Title: Bear_ErratumPARTHA
Type: security

Thus errata was made available so I'm moving this BZ to VERIFIED.
