In 2.3 we switched from kernel based device support to tcmu-runner based and we dropped support for windows and esx. 2.3 is still tech preview and only supports RHEL, so in section: 8.2.1. Configuring the iSCSI Target using Ansible Requirements: A running Red Hat Ceph Storage 2.1 cluster or newer --- It should say something like For vmware and windows support, Red Hat Ceph Storage 2.1 - 2.2 must be used. 2.3 or newer do not support these operating systems. One more change to the RHCS 2.1 - 2.3 iscsi documentation: Under "Prerequisites:" we have: Red Hat Enterprise Linux 7.3 for Ansible deployments but that should be 7.4 like it is for the command-line deployment.
