Description Robin Williams 2017-09-13 16:32:04 UTC
Metrics currently shows the total memory being used by a pod including cache. It would be helpful to show the RSS and cache figures separately as the RSS figure is probably a better indication of how close to memory capacity the pod is running. Perhaps using different colours to depict the 2 types of memory on the indicator "circle" would be a good way of doing things and including some help text about the 2 types of memory on clicking the "About Compute Resources" hyperlink would be helpful.

It took me ages to find out why the pod memory did not match what I was seeing using ps in the terminal window :)

Thanks

This helped me understand what was going on https://docs.docker.com/engine/admin/runmetrics/
