Description Florent Le Coz 2017-09-16 13:00:13 UTC
The current version is 1.13, which is quite old, and is the same version as the normal docker package.

Version 17.07 or at last 17.05 should probably be packaged instead.

Docker-ce 17.09 is now available (and 17.12 in release candidate).

I'm quite confused what package to use to develop my docker based images.
The current docker-latest package version (fedora 27) is older than the docker package version (1.13 vs 1.13.1).

There are more and more applications using docker's multi-stage builds that's available in docker >= 17.05, and I start relying on that feature for my own images.

I can of course use docker provided rpms, but I would prefer relying on the fedora packages.

Is there anything that blocks a docker-latest package update on fedora workstation ? and fedora server ?
Can the community help in some ways ?

PS: I also added a comment in the main docker package: https://bugzilla.redhat.com/show_bug.cgi?id=1493147

This will be handled in the upcoming moby-engine package.
