Error unpacking rpm package elementary-xfce-icon-theme-0.9-1.fc26.noarch

...from todays update...

Package was completely downloaded from the repos. No delta package!

Comment 1 hannes 2017-09-21 06:00:23 UTC
I didn't have any issue updating the package. Did you perhaps make some changes to the local file?

Comment 2 hannes 2017-09-21 06:03:44 UTC
As far as I read other bug reports with a similar issue it rather appears to be a local problem, most probably with the filesystem .

Comment 3 Ali Akcaagac 2017-09-21 07:05:36 UTC
You may have seen the number:

Updating 38/82 which implies that there are 82 packages in the updating process. All succeed with only the exception of elementary-xfce-icon-theme. No there are no local modifications and no the file system is not corrupt or buggy...

Most likely your post and pre updating scripts need some extra love...

Comment 4 hannes 2017-09-21 07:33:00 UTC
But I could not replicate any of this and as far as I read other reports with similar error it is rather related to the rpm package and not really to the packaging itself. Could you perhaps directly use the one from koji?

Comment 5 hannes 2017-09-21 07:59:05 UTC
rpm -e --nodeps elementary-xfce-icon-theme && dnf install elementary-xfce-icon-theme should fix the issue. I will try to fix the problem by cleaning up the symlink stuff in the spec.

Comment 6 Ali Akcaagac 2017-11-06 09:55:28 UTC
Sorry for not responding lately. Well that's basicly what I did. I also removed the remaining traces by manually rm -rf'ing the directory.
