Description of problem:
https://github.com/karelzak/util-linux/pull/311 - proposal for a fix that causes Bug #1324731

Comment 1 Karel Zak 2017-09-27 09:29:05 UTC
It seems more important have been our discussion on util-linux mailing list :-)

The final conclusion was coreutils-like way for the exec() exit codes. Unfortunately, it has never been implemented...

Added to the upstream TODO file. I'll implement it for v2.32 (~ Feb 2018), maybe we can backport it to Fedora more early.

Comment 2 Karel Zak 2018-02-01 15:02:33 UTC
Fixed in the upstream tree.

https://github.com/karelzak/util-linux/commit/cf654e1c3ec8f6f9ac93bf4f6981d560249868d9

The new feature will be available after upgrade to the v2.32.
