RHEL Engineering is moving the tracking of its product development work on RHEL 6 through RHEL 9 to Red Hat Jira (issues.redhat.com). If you're a Red Hat customer, please continue to file support cases via the Red Hat customer portal. If you're not, please head to the "RHEL project" in Red Hat Jira and file new tickets here. Individual Bugzilla bugs in the statuses "NEW", "ASSIGNED", and "POST" are being migrated throughout September 2023. Bugs of Red Hat partners with an assigned Engineering Partner Manager (EPM) are migrated in late September as per pre-agreed dates. Bugs against components "kernel", "kernel-rt", and "kpatch" are only migrated if still in "NEW" or "ASSIGNED". If you cannot log in to RH Jira, please consult article #7032570. That failing, please send an e-mail to the RH Jira admins at rh-issues@redhat.com to troubleshoot your issue as a user management inquiry. The email creates a ServiceNow ticket with Red Hat. Individual Bugzilla bugs that are migrated will be moved to status "CLOSED", resolution "MIGRATED", and set with "MigratedToJIRA" in "Keywords". The link to the successor Jira issue will be found under "Links", have a little "two-footprint" icon next to it, and direct you to the "RHEL project" in Red Hat Jira (issue links are of type "https://issues.redhat.com/browse/RHEL-XXXX", where "X" is a digit). This same link will be available in a blue banner at the top of the page informing you that that bug has been migrated.

Can be easily backported.

Comment 3 Andrew Schorr 2017-10-06 13:52:44 UTC
Needless to say, Fedora 26 suffers from the same bug.

This seems to work for me.

Thanks,

Hi.

I hate to be a pain in the ass, but if this patch can be easily backported, why hasn't it happened yet? It couldn't be much easier. I have already supplied the patch. And now you pushed out a new release with tigervnc-working-tls-on-fips-systems.patch and did not include this bump scroll patch. Why is that? It would have been so insanely easy to include both patches.

Regards,
Andy

Comment 7 Jan Grulich 2017-12-07 07:31:40 UTC
That fix I pushed was critical. I would have pushed even this fix, but it didn't get all the acks and I was a bit overwhelmed back then, so I really didn't have time to poke people around to approve this.

Comment 8 Jan Grulich 2018-01-18 12:57:29 UTC
Fixed in tigervnc-1.8.0-5.el7.

Comment 10 Tomas Hudziec 2018-02-06 16:52:09 UTC
Verified that bump scrolling does not work with tigervnc-1.8.0-4.el7 and works with tigervnc-1.8.0-5.el7. Tested on x86_64.
