Description Jaroslav Škarvada 2017-10-05 22:57:42 UTC
Description of problem:
Location search stopped working few weeks ago.

Version-Release number of selected component (if applicable):
xfce4-weather-plugin-0.8.9-1.fc26.x86_64

How reproducible:
Always

Steps to Reproduce:
1. Click properties
2. Click location
3. Click change
4. Write location name, e.g. "Brno" and click search

Actual results:
Nothing is found, it seems it's still searching

Expected results:
Location is found

Additional info:
I have czech locale (cs_CZ.UTF-8) and I guessed the english labels, so sorry if the reproducer is not 100% correct (e.g. if "search" is written as "find", etc.), but the problem should be clear.

There is a workaround to directly enter GPS coordinates of the desired location into the location dialog, but it's clumsy :)

The same problem is reproducible in fedora 25 (I didn't check rawhide).

Comment 1 Jaroslav Škarvada 2017-10-05 23:02:03 UTC
Upstream report:
https://bugzilla.xfce.org/show_bug.cgi?id=13877

It seems the Agent is not correctly set for the query.

Comment 2 Mukundan Ragavan 2017-10-06 19:17:25 UTC
I have been following that. As soon as it is fixed upstream, I will build it for fedora.
