when cinder volume is provisioned on the ceph backend, cinder ceph backup driver should be able to create incremental backup. Here is the bug we run into, with the similar error msgs in debug mode "When I try to use CEPH incremental backup, there is a 33 error（Numerical argument out of domain）, then throw an exception and perform full volume backup.Log" https://bugzilla.redhat.com/show_bug.cgi?id=1461132 https://bugs.launchpad.net/cinder/+bug/1680361 The following patch has been tried which seems to be fixing the problem.
