Description Ralf Corsepius 2017-10-15 04:59:26 UTC
Description of problem:

dnf updating kernels in fc27 raises an error message:

# dnf update kernel
...
  Running scriptlet: kernel-core-4.13.6-300.fc27.x86_64 3/3
cat: write error: Broken pipe
...

Version-Release number of selected component (if applicable):
Updating kernel-4.13.5-300.fc27.x86_64
to kernel-4.13.6-300.fc27.x86_64

Remark:
I doubt the kernel package is the origin of this error message,
but I can't spot anything obvious in the kernel rpm's scriptlets.
