Description Aaron Gaudio 2005-03-17 19:10:47 UTC
Description of problem:
I hate to be a stickler about things like this, but the Attendee column in the
evolution meeting request dialog is too narrow. This makes it difficult to
differentiate options when using auto-complete to select an attendee. I work at
a company with lots of people, so names often collide, and with the default
width as it is, I usually see something like "Smith, K...". I'd be happy if that
column header was at least resizeable (and even more happy if it remembered the
last user-assigned width).

BEST would be if the drop-down list was not constrained to match the width of
the column header.

Version-Release number of selected component (if applicable):
evolution-2.0.4-1

How reproducible:
Always

Steps to Reproduce:
1. Create a meeting request.
2. In the "Invitations" tab, add an attendee by clicking the 'Add' button.
3. Start typing the attendee's name, and let auto-complete show you a list of
possible completions.

Actual results:
Most of the names displayed will be too long to fit in the pop up list, and will
be truncated with "...", making it difficult to disambiguate.

Expected results:
Well, of the options I mentioned above, the best would be if the pop-up list of
autocompletions did not have to match the width of the Attendee column header.

Thanks for this bug report, and the detailed information contained in it.

At the moment, the Fedora developers don't have time to work on this particular
issue. The best way to make sure your problem will get looked on is to report it
to the authors of the program. Most upstream authors use a bug tracking system
like bugzilla, and more people who know the code will be looking at the bug
report there.

The upstream bug tracking system to use is:
http://bugzilla.ximian.com/

Please make sure the bug isn't already in the upstream bug tracker before
filing it.
