Description Pan Ousley 2017-11-17 21:52:52 UTC
Description of problem:

A customer is currently testing with an NFS-Ganesha setup and RHGS 3.3. Per the documentation of RHGS we found that NFS 4.1 is not supported, however, by default RHEL picks NFS 4.1 as protocol if the client doesn't specify the correct minor version.

To prevent this we want to force this in the export file of the volumes.

There is an upstream patch for this: https://review.gerrithub.io/#/c/385818/

I would like to request that this patch be cherry-picked into a downstream build of RHGS. Please let me know if anything else is needed.

Can u please reconsider the bug for 3.4 ?

Comment 7 Kaleb KEITHLEY 2018-01-15 13:47:09 UTC
yes, the bugs are being looked at. And they're being fixed.

Even if NFSv4.1 isn't supported (for lack of QE) ganesha should not crash.

And devs want NFSv4.1 to be the default eventually.
