It was found that the UsernamePasswordMako class relies on an assert statement to check the user's password. A python optimizations might remove this assertion, making the authentication form accept any password for any user.

Although the affected code is present in shipped packages, python-pysaml2 is included only as a dependency of other packages. The affected code cannot be reached in any supported configuration of Red Hat OpenStack Platform.
