Description Antonin Pagac 2017-11-22 10:07:06 UTC
Description of problem:
When I select an infrastructure VM from a list of all infra VMs using the checkbox and then try to perform a power operation on it via the Power button, an error appears in the UI:

"No items were selected for Stop" - when trying Power Off

The operation is not successful, the VM remains in running state. Similarly when trying other power options listed when clicked the Power button.
From evm.log:

"[----] E, [2017-11-22T04:50:42.790107 #13218:f79324] ERROR -- : MIQ(vm_infra_controller-x_button): No items were selected for Stop"

Does not occur when the power action is initiated from the VM summary screen. In that case, power operation is successfully completed with no errors.

Version-Release number of selected component (if applicable):
5.9.0.9.20171115202245_7429f75

How reproducible:
Always

Steps to Reproduce:
1. Have an infrastructure provider added and a VM created
2. Navigate to Compute -> Infrastructure -> Virtual Machines
3. Select the VM using the checkbox
4. Click on the Power button and select any one of the options
5. Click OK on the popup

Actual results:
Power operation not completed, error displayed in the UI and in evm.log

Expected results:
Power operation completed successfully

Additional info:
I can't find anything useful in the logs or in the browser console. Including whole evm.log and production.log.
Occurs also in automation.
