Description Marius Vollmer 2017-11-23 04:54:03 EST
Description of problem:

This pull request

    https://github.com/storaged-project/udisks/pull/459

(or something equivalent) should make it into RHEL 7.5 so that creating a filesystem on a VDO volume with Cockpit will not suck.

Comment 2 Marius Vollmer 2017-11-24 04:54:05 EST
Here is a version of the patch for udisks2 2.7.3:

https://github.com/mvollmer/storaged-1/tree/2.7.3-format-no-discard
Comment 4 Bohdan Milar 2018-02-12 14:35:43 EST
I found no reproducer or a way to verify the new function (discussed with vtrefny), so decided to verify sanity only.

udisks2-2.7.3-4.el7:
- "Patch2 (no_discard_1516697.patch) was added."

udisks2-2.7.3-6.el7.src.rpm:
- no_discard_1516697.patch is present.

Conclusion: Verified SanityOnly.
