Description of request: Currently, when listing VMs running on a particular host it's only possible to perform a limited set of actions on them, like start/stop/restart. This may be a limitation of the old UI, but the new Admin portal as of 4.2 is much more versatile so I propose to make the VM names in the list clickable and lead to the VM properties page. This will enable more actions on the VM without having to go through the full VM list. Sample scenario: Host has high load due to a VM running out of memory and swapping hard. Administrator goes to "Virtual Machines" tab of host details to identify the problematic VM. Now memory needs to be added to the VM. Currently, to do this the VMs page needs to be opened. With the RFE implemented, just clicking on the VM name in the list will bring up VM details and add memory.
is that easy to do now? This was turned down couple times in the old UI
It will be. Alexander is working on this functionality. We were hoping for 4.2, but it'll be 4.3.

Verified in ovirt-engine-4.2.1.2-0.1.el7.noarch ovirt-engine-webadmin-portal-4.2.1.2-0.1.el7.noarch Clicking on the VM name in the table now navigates to the VM detail view. Besides the host -> VMs view, this cross-linking functionality now works in most of the data grids, allowing a user to quickly and intuitively navigate through the whole Webadmin, nice! For example, from the Compute / Virtual Machines view, a user can go to VM's: - host it is running on - cluster - data center
