I may have overlooked it, but I did not see a guide or Fedora 27 that I could check against to see whether the typo was already fixed for that version.

Hah, such a tiny little typo and it took over half a decade to fix :) Should be fine now, see the commit at https://gitlab.com/fedora/docs/fedora-linux-documentation/fedora-linux-sysadmin-guide/-/commit/4d2fc51fc40a9f3c3f3985a5376945b34f3a058f. The fix is also backported to branches f40 and f39.
