Description Adam Scerra 2017-12-05 20:25:53 UTC
Description of problem:
When bringing up Hosted Engine following the Documentation only one host is visible under the host tab.

Version-Release number of selected component (if applicable):

How reproducible:
always

Steps to Reproduce:
1. Configure and deploy Hosted Engine with gluster from the cockpit UI.
2. Once Hosted Engine is up, go to the UI.
3. Go to the Hosts tab

Actual results:
There is only one host that appears.

Expected results:
That all hosts (3 of them) that were used in configuration will be populated under the host tab.

I would also expect this... Sahina, can you confirm/deny and explain expected behavior here? Is this a UI bug or have we missed something?

Once the HE deployment is completed, only 1 host is added. The master storage domain, additional 2nd and 3rd hosts have to be done manually and these are documented in the post deployment steps.
There's a bug 1466132 open to automate these for the next version

Thanks Sahina. So, for now, I'm going to close this NOTABUG - this is expected behaviour, and the other hosts are connected in subsequent steps. We will update this when the behaviour changes.

User is prompted to supply hosts in beginning of deployment. The hosts that are inputted should carry over to the hosts tab post deployment without user intervention

There's already an RFE in oVirt to track this which has been cloned to rhhi.
