Description of problem:

When the host is managed in RHV Manager, the update manager watches for updates for vdsm & vdsm-cli package and indicates the user in RHV UI, whenever the update is available.

This helps to make the user aware of the updates.
But gluster updates are not watched for.

Steps to Reproduce:
-------------------
1. Install the older nightly build of gluster on HC host ( Older gluster rpms are installed in order to observe that update manager finds the update )
2. Ensure that the latest gluster rpms are made available via repo or through CDN channel
3. Update the update manager check interval to 1 hour
4. After one hour check for status of the hosts in RHV UI

Actual results:
---------------
Host shows only the updates related to vdsm and vdsm-cli

Expected results:
-----------------
Host should also show the updates related to gluster packages

Additional info:

Events on the HC host - 
'Host rhsqa-grafton10-nic2.lab.eng.blr.redhat.com has available updates: vdsm,vdsm-cli.'

Hi Sandro,
In ovirt-host, I see that the dependency on glusterfs packages is excluded intentionally. It would work on oVirt-node and RHV-H, but not on RHEL due to subscription issues.

Can we add the dependency in case of Fedora & CentOS?

Why? vdsm-glusterfs already add glusterfs packages and it's installed by ovirt-host-deploy on RHEL, Fedora and CentOS if gluster is enabled when adding hosts

Also, on oVirt 4.2 while upgrading a plain "yum update" is executed so whatever is installed gets updated.

Yes, but during update check, it fails to report when newer gluster rpms are available

If not adding glusterfs-server to ovirt-host, how do we address this bug on checking updates on gluster packages?

I may be wrong but I understood that the upgrade manager is now doing a plain "yum update" so if glusterfs is already installed, it should get an update.
Is this correct Martin?

Yes, from 4.2 engine upgrade manager tries to upgrade all available packages (and by default also reboots the host after the upgrade, but use can suppress this reboot)

Yes, this works as expected. Tested with RHV 4.2.3-6 and glusterfs-3.12, the available update packages are found and updated.

There was no code change here, but a verification target. I've reset this to 4.2.4

This bugzilla is included in oVirt 4.2.4 release, published on June 26th 2018.

Since the problem described in this bug report should be
resolved in oVirt 4.2.4 release, it has been closed with a resolution of CURRENT RELEASE.

If the solution does not work for you, please open a new bug report.
