Description of problem:
sane-find-scanner found "canoscan lide 500f" but `scanimage -L` does not.

sane-backends-1.0.15-9

How reproducible:
Always

Steps to Reproduce:
1. sane-find-scanner
2. scanimage -L
3. xsane (kooka)
  

Actual Results:  no device found

Expected Results:  scanner should work

Additional info:

found USB scanner (vendor=0x04a9 [Canon], product=0x221f [CanoScan], chip=GL841) at libusb:001:003

# scanimage -L
No scanners were identified.

We'll wait until this is included in sane-backends proper, since that is the
upstream intention.
