console output

Description of problem:

Installing Fedora Rawhide on KVM via Direct kernel boot.
vmlinuz and initrd.img downloaded from https://kojipkgs.fedoraproject.org/compose/rawhide/Fedora-Rawhide-20171213.n.0/compose/Workstation/x86_64/os/isolinux

As soon as the system boots up, a kernel panic turns out.

This seems to me like an issue in kernel.
Changing components.

Comment 2 Laura Abbott 2017-12-14 17:02:35 UTC
That's almost always caused by a line missing initrd in grub.cfg. In this case I think it's a misconfiguration with your vm setup, assuming you are following https://libvirt.org/formatdomain.html#elementsOSKernel . Can you share the configuration you are using?

Comment 3 Alessio 2017-12-15 11:16:07 UTC
I am following https://fedoraproject.org/wiki/QA:Testcase_Boot_Methods_Pxeboot

In virt-manager Boot options I have
Kernel path: /path/to/vmlinuz
Initrd path: /path/to/initrd
Kernel args: inst.repo=https://kojipkgs.fedoraproject.org/compose/rawhide/Fedora-Rawhide-20171213.n.0/compose/Workstation/x86_64/os/

vmlinuz and initrd files were downloaded from https://kojipkgs.fedoraproject.org/compose/rawhide/Fedora-Rawhide-20171213.n.0/compose/Workstation/x86_64/os/isolinux/

However downloading these files again now I'm not facing this issue, maybe a corrupted initrd or vmlinuz file?
