Description Patrick Rudolph 2017-12-24 11:10:45 UTC
+++ This bug was initially created as a clone of Bug #1184894 +++

This is a tracking bug for Change: Wine to use mesa Direct3D
For more details, see: https://fedoraproject.org//wiki/Changes/Wine_to_use_mesa_Direct3D

Enhancing mesa and wine with Direct3D9 support will increase performance and reduce resource usage in applications which using D3D9 framework.

Prebuild packages for testing are available at https://build.opensuse.org/package/show/home:siro:fedora/wine-nine

The package is a wine addon called "wine-nine" and has as dependency the stable wine api. There's no need to update it on wine's minor releases. The addon does work with vanilla wine and wine-staging.

With every major wine version there will be a stable branch.

The spec files are available at: https://github.com/siro20/wine-spec/tree/master/fedora

Tested and working on Fedora 26.

I'm not sure what this bug is about.

If you want to add a new package to Fedora you are welcome to.

I do not have time to maintain another branch of Wine.
